J’s Meadow in Syleham was purchased in 2018 by Syleham and Wingfield village hall management committee. The aim to complement the hall with an outdoor space for the local people to use and to host a series of community events.
With stunning views over the Waveney Valley, the pedestrian gate to J’s Meadow is always open.
Everyone is welcome to use the area, enjoy the space and marvel at the view. Opposite the main hall car park but not visible from the road, J’s is accessed via a short walk along the public footpath.

Bug Hotel
In May 2019 a group of enthusiastic residents gathered together to build the local insects a place of their own. Using donated materials, five-star accommodation was erected just inside J’s meadow. Now well established, the eagle-eyed visitor can spot the shy residents occasionally entering or exiting their home.
Work on improving the meadow is ongoing. Last year a pathway was laid around the meadow. This year new flower beds have been installed.
If you could spare a couple of hours a month join the volunteers at J’s Meadow Gardening get together, second Thursday of the month between 10:00-12:00.
